Featured Placement Is Paid
A profile marked Featured belongs to a provider or practice that pays for our Plus or Practice plan. Featured profiles are shown before other profiles in a city's specialty and condition lists and in search results. Among featured profiles, and among everyone else, the usual order applies.
Every featured profile carries the Featured label in those lists, and the label links to this page.
What Payment Never Changes
- What a profile says. Names, specialties, licenses and addresses come from the national NPPES registry, and paying does not change them.
- Verified status. "Verified by the provider" means we confirmed the person managing the profile works there. It can't be bought.
- Which providers appear. Every provider in the registry is listed, paying or not.
- Endorsements from other providers, which only verified providers can give.
We Don't Recommend Providers
Featured placement is advertising, not a recommendation or a ranking of quality. Choose a provider the way you normally would, and confirm details such as insurance and availability with the office.
