Geriatricians
A physician who specializes in the health of older adults, including memory problems, falls, frailty and managing many medicines at once.
Palliative Care Doctors
A physician who relieves pain and other symptoms of serious illness and supports patients and families with care decisions, including hospice care.
Internists
A physician who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness in adults. Many internists serve as primary care doctors.
Social Workers
A licensed professional who provides counseling and helps people connect with services. Clinical social workers diagnose and treat mental health conditions.
Hospices
A program that provides comfort care and support for people near the end of life and their families, at home or in a facility.
Family Doctors
A physician who provides checkups, preventive care and treatment for common illnesses for patients of all ages. Family doctors also manage long-term conditions and refer to specialists when needed.
