HIPEC

A treatment for some cancers that have spread in the abdomen: surgery removes visible tumors, then heated chemotherapy is circulated in the abdomen.

Also called: heated chemotherapy, cytoreductive surgery, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy
